Learning & Professional Development Director

ABS Kids has an exciting remote opportunity for a Learning & Professional Development Director. The Learning & Professional Development Director functions as a primary training team member for company-wide clinical training initiatives.

Our Administrative Support team members play a vital role in advancing our mission to make a difference in the lives of children with autism spectrum disorder and their families. Every team member at ABS Kids is passionate about providing best in class support to our direct care providers, who in turn deliver the highest quality ABA therapy to our clients.

What will you do?

  • Participate in workgroups focused on company-wide training and quality objectives; report activities to Vice President of Clinical Operations and senior clinical management as requested (i.e., regional vice presidents, EVP of operations, VP of quality assurance)
  • Participate in and lead the development of company-wide trainings to educate clinical staff of changes in clinical operational processes designed to maximize efficiencies
  • Develop or work in conjunction with Director of Clinical Operations and/or Regional Vice President or appointed teams to support region-specific clinical operational processes
  • Remain current in upcoming BACB standards updates and identify and communicate with Vice President of Clinical Operations as to how changes in any of these may impact ABS Kids’ current practices
  • Initiate and communicate clinical training needs outside of company-wide initiatives, review with Vice President of Clinical Operations and prioritize activities based on feedback and direction
  • Remain current in evidenced based practices in clinical practice, supervision, and staff training and systems
  • Other clinical responsibilities as defined by Vice President of Clinical Operations

Who are we looking for?

  • Master’s degree in ABA, psychology, education or a related field
  • Board Certification in Behavior Analysis
  • Maintain Board Certification in Behavior Analysis and associated license (if applicable)
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
  • Communicate information and ideas both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrate strong executive functioning skills, including flexible thinking, planning, task initiation, prioritization, and completion, time management, and self-monitoring skills
  • Develop and/or utilize systems to track progress on projects assigned
  • Maintain a positive and can-do attitude when working with individuals with varying opinions
  • Take initiative to seek clarification and support when needed to fulfill responsibilities
  • Demonstrate good discretion in escalating pressing issues requiring feedback
  • Receive and implement constructive feedback in a timely manner
